As children grow, their curiosity deepens and their questions become more thoughtful. The wide-eyed wonder of early childhood begins to take shape as a readiness to learn and to understand. At this age, they stand at the threshold of formal learning — eager, capable, and full of imagination. In the right environment, where there is absence of comparison and fear, they blossom into confident, creative learners who find joy in discovery.
English and Maths labs now become spaces of focused exploration. Understanding takes precedence over memorisation, and classrooms hum with questions, ideas, and shared insights. In Mathematics, children work with concrete materials that bring abstract ideas to life, building a foundation that is both strong and meaningful. Mathematical thinking evolves alongside problem-solving in real-life situations, with space given for creativity.
In languages, learning unfolds organically. Grammar is absorbed through conversation, listening, and expression; specially curated books developed for the Indian contexts are used. A love for reading is nurtured as children listen to stories read aloud, borrow books from the library, and share reflections on what they’ve read.
Nature continues to be their teacher — through walks under open skies, farming activities, field visits, and community events like the mela, Environmental Studies comes alive. Their powers of observation grow sharper, and their connection to the world around them deepens. Children learn to take responsibility for their surroundings and care for their community.
Physical growth, too, is guided with intention — through activities that build coordination, agility, and strength. The importance of good nutrition is a running theme at this age and the school provides freshly cooked, nutritious breakfast and lunch.
